Chairman Mr. Dhakal is currently a chief Strategy and Communication Officer at Prabhu Bank Limited. A distinguished banking professional with a career spanning over 20 years within the financial services industry, Mr. Dhakal possesses deep-seated expertise in both domestic and global markets.
Career
Mr. Dhakal’s professional trajectory began in 2006 at Global IME Bank Ltd as a Junior Assistant. During his 13-year tenure there, he demonstrated exceptional versatility, rising to the rank of Deputy Manager. He excelled in numerous pivotal roles, including Branch Manager and served as the bank's first international deputation staff to Qatar to establish Global Remit. His leadership at Global IME also encompassed serving as Head of Remittance, Head of Media & Branding, Head of Card Sales Marketing, and Head of Branchless Banking.
Following his tenure at Global IME, he brought his specialized skills to Sunrise Bank Ltd, where he served in a management capacity as the Head of Digital Banking, conceptualizing and establishing the department from the ground up.
Since integrating into Prabhu Bank Ltd, Mr. Dhakal has navigated a series of high-level leadership assignments across various critical functions. He has served as Chief Province Officer (Bagmati), Chief Business Center Officer, and Head of the General Administration & Facility (GAD) Department. More recently, he led the bank’s marketing and reputational efforts as the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) and Media Handling & CSR Lead.
With a profound grasp of corporate strategy formulation, governance excellence, and institutional effectiveness, Mr. Dhakal is adept at aligning operational performance with long-term growth objectives. His expertise extends to liquidity management, investment strategies, and risk mitigation techniques to optimize the bank’s asset-liability functions.
